Bible Verses

Did you ever wonder how people can rhyme off verses of the bible and name the book, verse, and chapter? I have always been amazed how they do that. The only two I ever knew off by heart were John 3:16 and the 23rd Psalm.

They said the way to do it, is to pick a verse, read it 10 times naming the Verse, etc and reading what it says first thing in the morning, then again during the afternoon, then again before going to bed.

I am going to try it. So the first one I have decided to memorize is John 10:10

It reads "The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly.

So I accomplished it. Now I have:
John 3:16
23rd Psalm
John 10:10

May new one (a little tougher as I have never heard it before is:

Proverbs 6:22

When you walk, they will guide you (they are talking about the angels)
When you sleep, they will watch over you
When you are awake, they will speak to you

Not so easy, but I CAN, I WILL

Yes, I have often marvelled at some people's ability to memorize Bible verses and state them word for word, without a second thought.

However, I am not a very patient soul and would never be able to commit to a regimen such as you are planning. I'll be content just reading the verses that you have chosen.

This promises to be an interesting thread.
